Why Independence Matters

Your IT advisor profits from your decision.

Most IT consultancies in Germany have vendor partnerships, commission tiers, or their own implementation business. That means every recommendation has a second beneficiary. Not with us.

  • Your systems integrator recommends the solution they implement.

Those who profit from the implementation cannot be neutral in the selection. Even when advisory and delivery are nominally separate.

  • You make IT investment decisions based on information you cannot verify.

As a managing director or department head, you often lack the technical depth to truly evaluate recommendations from your IT team or external vendors. You need someone who speaks both languages.

  • The advisor gets vague when you ask about alternatives.

Those who only know (or are allowed to know) one ecosystem cannot offer a real choice. You get the best solution within a constraint, not the best solution.

  • Our model as Trusted Advisor: we advise. We don't sell what we then implement.

No vendor partnerships, no implementation revenue, no commissions. Our recommendation is our only product in advisory. That is why it has value.

How we work

No slide deck, just straight talk.

We start by listening. Individual conversations with IT, business units, and management before we recommend anything. Every side tells a different story. Our job is to turn that into a shared picture everyone can understand.

IT thinks in systems, management thinks in outcomes, business units think in processes. We speak all three languages and ensure recommendations are not just technically sound, but understood and supported by everyone. Where this dialogue is needed long-term, we continue it through our digital consulting.

Every department wants its own solution. Without someone with the technical overview, you end up with a patchwork of tools that don't fit together. We take the role a CTO or enterprise architect would: the big picture that places individual requirements into a viable IT landscape.

Security, DevOps, software development, UX design: we cannot cover everything ourselves. Where real specialists are needed, we draw on a network of regional boutique firms. No freelancer brokerage. Companies like us that know their craft, and that we know from joint projects.

Our advisory doesn't end with a document. We accompany you through the entire decision process: vendor negotiations, contract review, internal alignment. As an ongoing sparring partner, not a one-time assessor. And when the decision is made, our project management takes over the implementation.

FAQ

Common questions about independent IT advisory

We have no vendor partnerships, no commission agreements, and no implementation business of our own. When we recommend a solution, we don't profit from it. That sounds obvious, but it is far from standard in the IT consulting industry.

Traditional IT consultancies sell analysis and implementation as a package. That means whoever recommends the strategy also profits from delivering it. A Trusted Advisor deliberately separates advisory from implementation. We evaluate, recommend, and support decisions, but we don't implement ourselves. That keeps our assessment free from self-interest.

Yes, often precisely because of that. Your IT department is tied up in day-to-day operations and rarely has the distance for strategic decisions. A fractional CIO or sparring partner brings experience from many companies and can frame IT topics at board level without being entangled in internal politics.

Especially then. Many of our clients are managing directors or department heads who need to make IT investment decisions without being able to evaluate the technical details themselves. We translate between IT and business and ensure you make decisions on a basis you truly understand.

We start with a requirements analysis, create a market overview of relevant vendors, conduct a structured comparison based on your criteria, and support you through to negotiation. The result is a clear recommendation. The entire process takes four to eight weeks depending on scope.
